This laptop had been completely taken apart for its usable parts years ago. Unable to locate the original hard drive cover or one that matched, I decided to create a new one using 3D printing technology. Furthermore, the drive seemed to be getting increasingly hot so I installed multiple vents to improve airflow. Although it's uncertain how much of an impact this will have, it was definitely worth trying out. The fit isn't ideal and removing the support material from the clips proved to be a significant challenge. Ultimately, I had to superglue some of the clips back into place in a different position after they broke off. However, with some extra effort and double-sided tape, it went on very smoothly. Since the laptop was already extremely old and battered anyway, it didn't justify investing even more time and energy into making this piece fit perfectly. If you're looking for a starting point to create an improved version of this part or if you simply need a quick replacement, I hope this model will be helpful.
