I was searching for a way to transfer voltage to a rotating axis for a lamp, so I developed the option shown here. In the hardware store, I bought copper connectors with an inner diameter of 15mm for pipes and cut 10mm long pieces. The edges were slightly sanded and then soldered with a wire. One ring was placed on the axle from below, and the wire guided upwards inside the axis. The other piece was put on from above to secure it in place. To fix the rings, I heated the ends of the axles a little and deformed the plastic material so that the rings could not come off again. The axis is guided in a part that contains the motor for driving. Sliding contacts were provided on the side, allowing electricity to be supplied to the axis via the carbon brushes. The carbon brushes were used in the wrong orientation to keep the construction as flat as possible. I use these parts: * 2x screw M3x20 (securing and contacting the carbon brushes) * 4x M3 nuts (2x motor and 2 for carbon brushes) * 1x Motor * 2x carbon brushes * 2x pieces of copper pipe with inner diameter of 15mm and 10mm length I am using a Sharplace Profi DC 3V-12V Mini Getriebemotor Geschwindigkeit REDUKTION MOTOR 12 bis 48rpm motor from RT Technology.
