I'm testing out a Howa short action with a Lucky 13 mag plate, and I've had promising results using it on my 308 rifle, which should fit all similar short actions equipped with the same mag plate. For hunting and long-range target shooting, my gun is my go-to choice. During one of my long-range sessions, the mag kept hitting the rest leg, but since buying a shorter mag wasn't an option, I decided to take matters into my own hands and create a solution using TinkerCAD. The design clips in like a standard mag, allowing me to load individual rounds through the top, effectively transforming my rifle into a single-shot firearm. There are two overhangs where the latches grasp onto the mag plate; these might need some minor clean-up before fitting, as my slicer struggled to generate supports for them. Fortunately, these overhangs are only 0.5mm in size, and I was able to trim them down using side cutters on a couple of instances.
