How to Print Glass-Like Transparency! First, you must understand that a very slow print speed is necessary, so patience is essential. To achieve this goal, follow these four steps: 1. Set your print speed to 20mm/s. 2. Use a layer height of 0.1000mm. 3. Print without top or bottom layers and with one single direction for infill. 4. Dry your filament thoroughly! At least 4 hours in a standard cooktop oven at 170 Fahrenheit / 76 Celsius is recommended. Without proper drying, your prints may appear cloudy. By following these four steps, you can create a very translucent print. Several factors influence the outcome, including positioning and filament direction. Varying results are possible. The best filament to use for this process is surprisingly Overture Clear PETG. It even outperforms Formfutura HD Glass! https://www.amazon.com/Filament-Transparent-Consumables-Dimensional-Accuracy/dp/B07SB761QR/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?keywords=overture+clear+petg This guide is for those not using Simplify3D.
