Hover Craft Inspired Spin Top
thingiverse
Initially, I conceptualized a hover craft powered by balloons; however, it failed to lift off due to insufficient power. Instead, the device spun uncontrollably on a surface. This mishap led me to reimagine it as a continuous-spinning top. To achieve this, you can either pump air into the propellers or through the central duct. The top will accelerate and maintain its spin until manually stopped! To print the spinning top, three options are available: 'Spin top.stl' includes all parts with support structures that need removal and reattachment; 'Spin top (body).stl' features only the main body; 'Spin top (propellers and bits only).stl' offers separated propeller parts for reduced support requirements. The five caps secure the propellers in place, while the ball seals the bottom hole with glue.
