Hover Board Stomp Pad
thingiverse
My wife and I co-designed three out of five hover boards from Back to the Future 2. We cosplayed Griff's gang when the cast of Back to the Future visited our comic expo, which was an incredible experience. Although some files were available online to help us, we still had to create custom pieces from scratch. This is one of them. I designed four holes in the top of the hover board to mount the foot band and one seat at the bottom to install a screw and washer that holds the pad in place while allowing it to spin freely. The core of our hover boards was made of pink FOAMULAR C-200 Extruded Polystyrene Rigid Insulation, 1/2-inch thick. We found this foam at Home Depot. You can read more about how we made our hover boards on my wife's blog post: https://sweetmagpie.com/making-hoverboards-back-to-the-future-style/ We obtained the rest of our hover board parts from a user-generated content platform called Thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1750752/apps/print/#apps A huge thank you to @Imirnman for their support!
