This is a basic housing for a 0.5W PUI speaker with dimensions tailored to fit model AS06608MR-LW152-R perfectly. I have personally installed several of these speakers in this exact housing, and I'm pleased to report that it has functioned flawlessly each time. When handling this speaker, keep in mind that the lead wires are incredibly stiff. Be sure to check out the instructions for essential cautions on working with these stiff wires safely. Next time around, I'll opt for the version without leads and solder them myself for added peace of mind. Instructions 1. First off, perform a trial fit of the speaker into its designated spot. 2. Then carefully thread each lead wire through the hole provided in the housing, leaving clear marks on the outside with a Sharpie once done. 3. Remove the speaker again and apply vinyl wire ties approximately 4mm from these marked points to ensure secure anchoring of the wires and prevent them from accidentally being pulled loose during mounting. Next step, you'll need to mount the speaker itself using a sturdy adhesive like silicone or epoxy on top of the tabs located at the edge of the housing's rim. To avoid damage during installation, use extreme care when handling the stiff lead wires, working as smoothly as possible with the insulation they have. As a bonus precaution, add hot melt glue along the points where the wires exit to fortify and safeguard those connections. These instructions are provided with utmost caution due to the rigid nature of the wires which poses considerable challenges. It is advisable to carefully adjust their path throughout installation, always taking care not to twist or bend them unnecessarily as this may result in potential problems down the road.
