Housing for Micro MinimOSD
thingiverse
I am currently upgrading my old SplashDrone II with a PixHawk 4 Mini flight controller and stumbled upon a tiny OSD module that fits perfectly, but it lacks a protective case since it's designed for high-speed racing drones. So, I took matters into my own hands and created a custom housing to safeguard the delicate components. To ensure all connectors are secure, I used standard 2.54mm board receptacles and carefully trimmed them to size. Small pieces of 1mm ABS sheet were then glued onto the receptacles for added protection. If you opt for transparent filament, the board's LEDs will still shine through. After installing the board, simply apply a few drops of CA adhesive to secure the lower part to the upper part. That's it! UPDATE: For a more modern cable harness that supports a HC-06 Bluetooth module, I'm using two servo connectors glued together, as shown in the photo. Alternatively, you can use two BEC connector housings joined with CA adhesive for connecting video in/out, resulting in a sleeker and simpler setup. The Bluetooth module housing is available on Thingiverse at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3881030
