House Numbers

*Problem:* the delivery people were having trouble finding our house. Turns out a bush had obscured our ancient house numbers. *Solution:* New 3D printed house numbers! These numbers have 3 parts. I printed the "frame" or back out of black PLA. The middle part or "back" was printed out of unfinished wood PLA. The front part or "stencil" was printed out of wood PLA and then stained dark brown using MinWax One Step (Bombay Mahogany). The hard part was the stencil. I made a 2d image of the numbers and then used http://app.selva3d.com/ to create the stencil by having the depth of impression be greater than the total depth. My original design had all three in one frame but my printer isn't big enough for that so I did three separate numbers. That makes it even easier to make your own. Just be careful with alignment and spacing...
