This 3D model brings to life an ancient dwelling dating back approximately 1200BC, nestled within the fortified town of Amara West in northern Sudan. To learn more about this fascinating site, visit www.britishmuseum.org/AmaraWest. The excavation of this house took place between 2009 and 2011, resulting in a meticulously crafted model based on images captured in 2013. A comprehensive model of the surrounding neighborhood is also available for exploration, as well as an intricately detailed statue (https://sketchfab.com/models/9babe996ff0741c89e8764544f7173fd) discovered in the rear room of the dwelling. Susie Green's skilled hands brought this model to life using Agisoft Photoscan and Meshlab, drawing from a vast array of photographs showcasing the architecture taken during the 2013-2015 seasons.
