Hourglass dice tumbler using 70mm jars

At the boardgame meetups, many folks have been bringing glass jars as tumblers to roll dice. Great idea - no mess or anything.... BUT, I just had to take it one step further, didn't I? With this nifty gizmo, each time a turn passes, someone just flips it upside down (like you would an hourglass) and the dice roll is randomized through the baffles in the center. I think it's neat... and this makes my 100th item on Thingiverse. Yay!

Here's a quick demo on youtube: https://youtu.be/obmcUjVmg04

Print without support, trip off the skirt at the bottom when done. Fits jars with a 70mm OD orifice (include the thread in your measurement).

If you found this useful, please share your work and be sure to peruse my other submissions which are almost as varied as they are many:

http://www.thingiverse.com/3E8/designs

Enjoy!
Category: Dice
