Hourglass

I designed a compact hourglass that stands 7cm tall. The hourglass itself was printed using transparent PLA filament, which has a subtle translucency despite its transparency. The timing of the hourglass depends on the type of sand or material used; it generally lasts around 10 seconds. I decided not to use the printed columns in favor of wooden kitchen skewers. The base and top of the hourglass fit snugly together, but for extra security, I applied hot glue to attach them as well as the columns.
