This project has been refined from its initial iteration, addressing a critical issue with the first version. The arms were prone to breakage at the mounting screw closest to the center. This flaw has been rectified along with the need for shims in most cases, which also resolves some printing difficulties. The image showcases a QuadX with a carbon top plate made from an older ZMR frame, but the printed top plate is equally impressive. This quadcopter frame was designed to fill a gap in the market that neglects the requirement for accommodating 3in props on many micro frames under 150mm. This simple design features a 140 wheel base and can accommodate both 20x20 and 30.5X30.5 stack configurations, making it suitable for 110X and 130X brushless motors (it's recommended to use 1105 4000Kv-7500KV or 1306 3000Kv-6000KV). The camera mount is compatible with RunCam micro without modification, while propellers ranging from 2.5in to 3in can be used on this frame. Currently, the quadcopter uses 1105 4000KV motors paired with 2840-3B props. The VTx fits best at the back, secured by 2.5mm cable ties and double-sided tape. For a flat print, it's essential to use a strong adhesive and heated bed. Shims are required for M2x7 or M2x8 screws, and all connections utilize M2 hex head screws, which are the same used with 110X motor prop attachments and usually come with the props for this type of motor. Be sure that these screws only protrude about 1mm into the motor; any further protrusion may damage the motor windings. The shims provided do not have a center hole to retain the circlip and shaft if the bell is knocked off. Please leave comments as this design continues to evolve, and I hope to improve it over time.
