To attach my red dot finder scope to my camera, I devised a makeshift hot shoe mount using the one from my Celestron telescope. Although it's unclear if this would work with other finder scopes, the dovetail design suggests potential compatibility. The original Nikon hotshoe cover model inspired me; I used it as is and added a mount on top, fitting it perfectly with my Canon t3i. For locking, I employed a standard computer case screw, an old quick screw that requires no screwdriver. Despite the hole being slightly small, it securely holds the finder scope in place for me.
