Three years ago our washing machine's door handle broke requiring an immediate replacement. Unfortunately, the replacement part wasn't available - only a complete new door for about $150. Undeterred, I designed and printed a sturdy replacement that has been working flawlessly ever since. The total cost including experiments to ensure proper fit came out to be around $5. Two STL files are provided: one with the latch cut offset upwards due to our door's slight sagging which needed compensation. This modification was easily achieved during printing instead of adjusting the door itself. As always, a FreeCAD source is included for making adjustments and customizing the design.
