It utilizes 3/16 bungee cords as the propulsion mechanism but other elastic bands might work with adjustments. --- CURRENT VERSION 1.0 --- After printing and working out most kinks, this version should be reliable and simple enough to print and assemble. It fires at around 50-75 FPS depending on ammo type and band used. Reasonable string tension and newer/stiffer darts are preferred. Changelog from V0.2 to 1.0: - A flat was added to the sled for better notching and dart impingement, with round sides for stylistic fit. - The nut now holds the sled closer to the darts and has less surface area to move out of the way. - The lower receiver channel guide channel is ribbed for reduced friction on darts. - The holding channel from upper plates was adjusted to hold darts better, closer to the nut, and more consistently loaded. - Notches were added to the front pegs so that string stays in place when firing; the channel was widened for less friction. - Crosspin dimensions were adjusted to perfectly snap into place.
