Hotend setup for custom router
pinshape
This is a custom hotend setup for my router project. The concept centers around allowing airflow to reach the cooling fins of the hotend without cooling the printed object in the process. It's designed specifically for ABS and PET-G printing, leaving out PLA enthusiasts. This part accommodates a low-cost J-Hotend clone with a 25mm diameter and 32mm height. In the image, the red representation is the actual hotend, while the second red component above it represents a Bowden tube adapter. The fan measures 60x60mm. Although this design is for my custom machine, other makers may still find use in it due to the prevalence of customizers and self-builders online. Print settings: I printed the part on display using an Anet A6 printer. Rafting was not required as no supports were needed. Resolution stood at 0.2mm with infill percentages ranging from 15 to 20%.
