Hotend fan bracket for Mark34
thingiverse
A Quick and Dirty Mod for the Mark 34 X Carriage --------------------------------------------------- I recently created a modified version of the Mark34 X carriage to add a 30mm fan for cooling the hotend. Please note that I have not actually printed with this yet, so proceed with caution. To ensure your print bed stays intact, verify that there is at least 33mm from the bottom of your existing carriage down to the nozzle before you start dismantling it. If this clearance is not available, consider altering the bracket to increase the space. The modification begins with importing and modifying the original STL file, "wozekX-A.STL," designed by Mateusz Brodowski and available at jelwek.pl. Next, the OpenSCAD file will be used to generate modified carriage STL files and create new bracket designs as needed. Full-fan-bracket.stl allows airflow to reach the hotend but stops halfway, while top-mounting-only.stl enables full coverage of the hotend. At this time, it's unclear which design performs better in practice, so you may need to experiment to find the most effective solution for your specific setup.
