Hotend base Anycubic I3
thingiverse
I wanted to install a 90mm LED ring under my hotend cover and ran into problems with two things I found online (one was overly complicated, the other too rough). After some thought, I decided to modify a nice hotend cover to add a base for the LED ring. The original hotend cover is available at https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2457516. The base can be printed separately and attached using the cooler screws or it can be printed as one part with the hotend cover. I used an LED ring from Amazon, which can be found here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MHHMJH9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Note that the base will not fit directly onto the original Anycubic i3/MegaS hotend cover made of sheet metal because the screws are 2mm off-center. However, it can be adapted with elongated holes.
