Here's how to import OBJ files in Cinema 4D: To get started, select the "Hotel model with textures" option from your library or create a new project by clicking on "New File." Alternatively, you can simply double-click on the OBJ file to open it directly. Once the file is loaded into the program, click on the "Import OBJ" button in the top toolbar. This will allow you to specify which parts of the object you want to import. Next, navigate to the "Normals" section and choose whether to calculate points or skip this step altogether. For most models, it's best to leave this option unchecked unless you're working with a particularly complex model that requires additional processing power. Moving on, select the "Texture Coords (UVs)" checkbox to import the texture coordinates along with the 3D mesh. This will help ensure that your textures are applied correctly in the final render. In the "Material" section, click on the "Import MTL file" button and select the corresponding material file from your project directory. If you're using a default material preset, you may see random colors being applied to your model. Don't worry – this is completely normal! If you notice that your model appears transparent, try pressing the "Invert Transparency" button in the top toolbar to fix the issue. This should resolve any transparency problems and give you a more accurate representation of your 3D model. If you encounter any errors during the import process or need further assistance with setting up your project, feel free to send me a message and I'll be happy to help! Additionally, if you'd like to upgrade your model to PBR (Physically Based Rendering) textures, I can do so for an additional fee.
