Hot Wire Foam Cutter
thingiverse
This is a DIY saw-style tool for cutting foam with hot-wire technology (NiChrome wire available separately). To get the best results from this tool, the edges need to be moved further away from the screw holes - during my initial print, I noticed some tearing after applying screws. I'm still trying out different power sources and what works best is still unknown. A 5V, 1A USB wall charger was sufficient for a slow cut but did not last as expected when connected to a pack of 4 AA batteries (the voltage dropped pretty quickly).
