Hot Tub Chemical Float

Hot Tub Chemical Float

thingiverse

This spa tub float is manufactured in three separate parts. The central container, a floating vessel, holds two-inch chlorine or bromine tablets inside its hollow body. A rotatable ring surrounds this vessel, adjusting the release of chemical dispensers according to your preference. Additionally, a snap-on lid completes the assembly on top. The design of this float is unique and requires advanced 3D printing techniques - mass production via injection molding would not be feasible. Once printed, simply attach the ring to the bottom part of the container by snapping it in place. The front surface of the vessel bears my business name, i3DGear. For a decorative touch, I filled the letters with grout, which is easier than managing two separate extrusions during printing. While printing the main vessel, you might notice a pattern resembling a honeycomb filling inside the structure. This feature contributes to its stability and resistance to sinking. Adjusting your slicing engine's infill settings to 2 or 3 percent can help create a sparser, yet functional design, reducing material usage and waste during production.
