Hot Shoe Flash to Tripod Bracket

Hot Shoe Flash to Tripod Bracket

thingiverse

This 3D-printable bracket secures a Metz 50 AF-1 flash or similar unit with standard hot shoe mount to a 1/4" tripod for wireless lighting applications. Suitable for cameras triggering their flashes wirelessly or using wireless triggers with receivers attached, the bracket doubles as a protective cover for flash electrical contacts. Print the flash_mount.stl file on a Cupcake build platform, ensuring parts are centered in ReplicatorG before printing. After printing, widen the bottom piece's hole with a 1/4" drill bit, insert a nut into the hexagonal hole, and glue the three pieces together using dissolved ABS in acetone for a strong bond. Avoid mounting your flash horizontally for extra durability. Additionally, individual .stl files and a SolidWorks file for the entire bracket are available.
