Hot shoe / flash shoe mount for cameras with tilt-down-screens

thingiverse

For everyone who owns one of these "blogger/vlogger"-cameras, featuring a cool flip-down screen that gets in the way when trying to use a tripod. On Thingiverse, there's already a design that solves this issue by incorporating a thread. However, I'm hesitant to rely on printed threads for my €500 camera. Instead, I created a new adapter by combining two existing designs and gluing a 1/4-inch nut in place. Fingers crossed it works. In the photo of the tripod, you'll notice an ugly tripod plate modification – that's because I used an M6 nut during testing since I didn't have the correct one available. Disclaimer: Don't blame me if your camera falls off due to using this adapter. You use and print this at your own risk.
