Hot Shoe Flash holder with 3/8 UNC thread
thingiverse
This project was designed to perfect the technique of creating 3/8 threads within a solid object. The Hotshoe base is an essential component for any strobist kit. Although the 3/8 UNC thread proved slightly stubborn, I suspect it may be due to the limited space between the slopes or inadequate support material. To smooth out the thread, I employed a 3/8 screw tap. However, I'm confident that even without this process, a 3/8 screw can still fit snugly into the thread after one or two turns. Printer Settings: A8 Pursa i3 clone Rafts: Unnecessary Supports: Employed Resolution: 0.06 Infill: 20% Notes: The print quality exceeded my expectations, making it a great starting point for future prints. Feel free to opt for lower settings if time is of the essence, but be aware that thread quality might suffer as a result.
