Hot Shoe EZ-Finder rail

This is a custom rail designed specifically for use with Orion's EZ-Finder II and Celestron's Star Pointer red dot astronomy sight. It enables users to align their telephoto lens precisely with their imaging target using the EZ-finder. I couldn't find an official name for this particular rail profile, but it measures approximately 15mm in width. This design was adapted from my existing Picatinny hot-shoe model and is optimized for use with Panasonic G series hotshoes that feature a latching tab. The rail will also accommodate standard hotshoes, provided the clip on top is removed. I didn't bother to remove the holes for the Picatinny bolt clamp or hex key storage from this design, but they won't cause any issues during use. This rail was specifically created to mount the Celestron red-dot finder (Amazon ASIN B00009X3UU) without requiring the additional foot and rail that usually attach between the scope and the finder.
