Hot Shoe Adapter

Low-profile Nikon hot shoe adapter for use with Sony/Minolta flash units now available. This adapter was printed at 40% of the maximum speed, resulting in a handle that is easier to hold and maneuver. For optimal results, it's recommended to print the adapter at 20% speed, as this yields an even better fit. Unfortunately, the V1 version of this adapter does not come with electrical connection options. However, the V2 model offers a convenient electrical connection option for added functionality. While this adapter does not support TTL (Through-The-Lens) flash control, it can still be used in conjunction with a flash fill light to achieve professional-looking results. My camera works best when the light is left on continuously, and I've found that using this adapter has greatly improved my overall photography experience. To ensure a secure connection between the adapter and the flash unit, I recommend cleaning the holes with a #52 drill bit. For added durability, use #14 bare copper wire for the pins. A slight friction fit is ideal, and any excess material can be removed using a diagonal cutter. When installing the pins, make sure they protrude slightly above the print before sliding on the flash head. To ensure a snug fit, I rounded the pin ends before final installation. To assemble the adapter, mount the build, insert the pins, and then slide on the flash unit. It's essential to check that everything is properly seated by gently moving the pins back and forth until they click into place. This hot shoe converter adapter can be purchased online as a C-S1 Hot Shoe Converter Adapter for Canon/Nikon cameras to Sony/Minolta flash units.
