Hot Glue Gun Holder

Hot Glue Gun Holder

I took a look around here and couldn't find a holder that I liked, so I sat down and designed one. edit: After uploading, it looks like the holder is hollow and has an open tip - that's some graphics glitch - but it turns out fine. My goals were: - To have a holder that could serve both for working and storage, keeping the work surface free by making it a wall mount. - To make sure the glue gun would be held reliably in place. - The glue gun should more or less fall into the holder properly if you get it there halfway. - I designed it to be easy for getting the glue gun out of the holder, so I angled it about 25° from the wall. That way, it's easy to handle and won't stick out into the work area as much. - I didn't want a PLA print touching the front housing of the gun because it can get very hot and warp the print. - I wanted some place to wrap up the cable. - I always hated drips from the nozzle on my workbench, so I added a drip cup. And this is what I came up with for my Steinel gluematic 3002. Since I used widely used design features on glue guns to mate with the holder, it should work for others too.
