Hot Foam Cutter For CNC
thingiverse
I've made some awesome upgrades to this hot foam cutter, and it's working fantastically - I've already cut over 200 pieces with it! Check out my photos to see for yourself. The soldering iron version is finally here, and it's performing flawlessly - creating a consistent heat flow that cuts through the foam with ease. Right now, I'm tinkering with new tips to improve its speed even more. I'll be posting a video update soon. I designed the front clamp as a separate piece for safety, just in case anything goes wrong; although, I did print both clamps together initially. You'll need 8-32 or 1/8" x 5/8" screws for the front clamp. The main clamp requires 10-24 x 1 3/4" screws. Here are my preferred print settings: rafts - doesn't matter, supports - doesn't matter, resolution - standard, and infill - 20%.
