Hot End Scrubber for MendelMax 1.5
thingiverse
This hot end scrubber, made from a Dremel wire cup brush, automates the cleaning process of melted goop on the hot end's cone. It requires at least a 30mm gap between the heated bed and side extrusion. A 1-inch diameter Dremel wire cup bit is used, with adjustable height and secured using a M3 set screw. The print requires moving the X end-stop for proper reach, with post-printing wires trimmed for easy plastic removal. Start-up G-code includes absolute positioning, homing, extruder reset, purge, retraction, and priming. A video of a print start can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKWgGMjsx8U.
