Simplify your drilling process using this modified version of one original jig from thing #53316! Instead of two separate jigs, use a single, simpler one that works for both shaping and drill steps. Print the jig with a 3" 1/4-20 bolt and drill a "divot" at the end to hold it securely. Follow instructions on thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:53316), but apply this modification. Revisions include better sizing for standard bolts and larger nut holders. Tinkercad made this helpful tool. Remember, use High-Speed Steel bits when drilling stainless steel cap nuts, and don't forget to lubricate with WD40. If using the top cap nut holders, they help autocenter the bit and prevent skidding during drilling. Good luck with your project!
