Hot End mounting block
thingiverse
I acquired a CR10S Pro printer, but I wasn't pleased that I had to purchase nozzles from Creality. To resolve this issue, I replaced the hot end with a standard CR10 hot end using this mounting block: https://www.creality3d.shop/collections/accessories/products/creality-3d-printer-full-assemble-mk8-exturder-set-for-cr-10-cr-10s-s4-s5. The mounting block requires a couple of M3 nuts to be pushed into it, and then the CR10 hot end can be screwed onto the mounting block. Next, the mounting block is secured to the CR10S pro fixing holes. The mounting block was printed using Form Futura's ApolloX filament, but other filaments such as ABS, PETG or PLA would likely work just as well since the hot end doesn't get very warm near the mounting block due to the fan. A length gauge is used to cut a short section of Capricorn PTFE tubing (using a razor blade) that sits just above the nozzle. This isn't necessary for this project, but it's worth noting that only the last section of tube needs to be replaced if it becomes damaged from heat. If the PTFE tube gets clogged, the short section of tube can be easily removed and replaced after removing the nozzle. When replacing the tube, ensure that it is pushed up against the short section so that the short section is pressed firmly against the nozzle or leaks will occur. I've been printing with this setup for over 200 hours without any issues.
