Hot End Model PTFE Lined (Creality Style) Giant Scale 500%

thingiverse

This is a massive model of a PTFE Lined Creality Style Hot End assembly, designed to demonstrate how a hot end works and how to resolve common problems. All parts fit together seamlessly, with some minor adjustments required for test fitting, and break away designs feature cutaways for easy viewing of the internal workings. To assemble this model, you'll need 16 x 10x3mm magnets. Debur the magnet holes to make insertion easier, and debur all hole inserts for smooth air-assisted assembly. You may need to adjust the heat break's dimensions (in X and Y) to achieve a perfect fit, so print the heat block and heat sink parts first. The heat break should be a friction fit. Print the PTFE tube in vase mode, but only print an inch of it at a time, and test fit it into the heat break. Adjust as needed; this should require minimal force to insert and remove. This model will print on an Ender 3-sized printer or larger. A 200x200 printer can also do it, but you may need to shorten the heat break, and printing a long PTFE tube might be challenging. I printed each part in its own color: Ziro Bronze for the nozzle (available at https://amzn.to/2T5nzHT), Esun PLA Pro Silver for the steel parts (available at https://amzn.to/2Was6ec), Transparent Red for the heat sink (available at https://amzn.to/2MqChXt), and White for the PTFE (available at https://amzn.to/2RHsa6G). To complete this model, you'll also need 10x3mm magnets (available at https://amzn.to/2T9qK1n).
