Hot end fan shroud for e3d v5 with part cooling duct 40mm fan Kossel/Smartrapcore Alu

This is a remix of the Smartfriendz hot end cooler from the smartrapcore alu printer, designed specifically for the e3d v5 hot end but also compatible with other printers, especially deltas. It incorporates a part cooling duct for PLA and includes a second object - a cover for the duct - to allow easy switching to printing ABS. Keeping mass low on corexy or delta print heads is crucial, and this design allows part cooling without adding unnecessary complexity via additional fans. A slight modification was made to the internal profile of the duct to maximize airflow. (I've tightened the leaky nozzle in the photo now.) There's also a version 2 available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1360007, featuring a slide shutter that opens and closes (part close) the cooling duct, making it even easier to switch between ABS and PLA - just ensure you use fairly high resolution for optimal results. Print Settings: Printer: Kossel Mini/SmartRapCore Alu Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.26 Infill: 30% Notes: To print the fan shroud, maintain the orientation I've used here, as it aligns the layers perpendicular to the hot end heatsink, preventing cracking when attaching the part to the printer. Printing with supports is recommended. Post-Printing: The external sides of the duct opening were filed using a fine flat file to ensure a snug fit for the duct cover.
