The new Slic3r "Cooling" option enhances print quality and speed by utilizing hot-end fan. A design was created to cool the heatsink while blowing air on the part, without affecting hot-end heat dissipation. Inspired by http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:16266, this design was made using Sketchup; OpenScad will be used for a redesign soon. The .stl is compatible with J-Head hot-ends, adjustments may be required for other types. Kapton tape can cover the plastic part near the nozzle. This dual airflow system has proven effective in various prints.
