Hot Bed Stand-Off Cylinders (M3)
thingiverse
This file contains four 30mm hotbed stand-off cylinders. Question: What are these? Answer: These cylinders serve as mounts for your hotbed, holding it in place securely. The idea is to print them out, then gently sand them down to match the exact length of your printer's calibration within a margin of +/-0.01mm. Next, you slide these over the M3 screws that secure your hotbed to the Y-axis trolley. This results in a much more consistent and reliable Z-axis level across the entire bed. You can also adjust the cylinders manually or through software to compensate for any warping in your bed or trolley. Question: My M3 screws are only 25mm long, so 30mm is too long for me. What should I do? Answer: You have two options. Either import the .STL file into CAD or Blender and subtract 10mm from it, or you can use a hacksaw to trim them down by 5mm on each side and then smooth out the cuts with a file. Question: Can you edit the model for me? Answer: No, I expect you to take charge of editing the model. As a human being, you possess hands, eyes, and a brain, capable of tackling this task yourself.
