Hot Bed Speed Enhancer 8x8 Bed

I have encountered difficulties getting my Hot Bed to heat quickly or to heat above 100 degrees. Placing a sheet of aluminum foil, shiny side down, has proven to be an effective solution. However, my bed takes nearly 30 minutes to reach 98 degrees, and I lack the patience to determine if it ever exceeds 100 degrees. With this frame, the Hot Bed heats up to 100 degrees within 10 minutes and remains at that temperature after removing the foil. I simply remove the frame from the bed once it reaches Hot Bed temperature and during the Hot End warming process. Typically, I use the Cura slicer in Repetier, which waits for the Hot Bed before heating up the Hot End. Additionally, I have adjusted the z-axis to be a little higher after finding home, making it easier to remove. While a simple sheet of aluminum foil is sufficient, I found it creasing and becoming disorganized when not in use on my printer. Everyone seeks useful things to print. I created this frame with the intention of making it simplistic and minimal parts for better handling. The catch is that the frame must be larger than the bed being printed on. I designed the inner frame from four interlocking corner sections, which can be easily printed two inside corners at a time. A total of four are needed. I also attempted to print the four outer frame members as one piece diagonally across the bed, but they all warped. I used ABS for better heat resistance since it will be placed on the hot bed. The corners of the hot bed with hair spray did not hold the parts well. Initially, I tried printing the outer frame pieces with the open end up, but I was unable to add a brim due to bed size constraints. I eventually flipped the parts over and added a brim. You might achieve better results by printing two members on the sides. I have included a half-length version of the outer frame members, which would require eight per unit. Printing more pieces at once may result in less warping in the center of the bed, leading to cleaner-looking finished parts with nicer corners that match up better. This is still a work in progress.
