Hot air aspirator for game consoles in a TV stand cabinet
thingiverse
This is a simple extractor of hot air produced by game consoles (like Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch etc.) inserted in a TV cabinet. I had the need to create this suction system because I had no space to place my PS4 outside or above the TV cabinet, so inserting it into the cabinet, my PS4 produced too much heat because it was closed on all sides except the front one. Two 80mm fans (12 volts with separate power supply) must be mounted with 71.5 mm of space between the fixing holes and, if necessary, protective guards if you have cats or children. I have printed 2 of these: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1753144 . It can be printed with an Anet A8 and does not exceed 22 cm in height (it would be the depth once mounted in the cabinet) but you can modify and extend it depending on the depth of your cabinet. I also created a slot for an on/off switch with 2 pins as shown in the attached picture, but I don't remember the exact measurements. I also created some holes and internal channels to pass the power cables. This extractor must be attached with Velcro in the upper internal part of the cabinet, exactly above the game console with the back aligned with the game console hot air outlet or close enough to the rear of the compartment to make the hot air suction effective pushed out by the game console and rising upwards. I suggest to install fans with LEDs in order to understand if the system is on or off. For example, I initially mounted classic black fans and often I didn't notice that I left them on after the game sessions.
