Hose Clamp Key
thingiverse
A versatile key designed to be used in low-temperature conditions where frequent removal or installation of hose clamps is necessary. The rounded portion was printed at a moderate rate of 40%. Increasing the speed may result in a smaller hole size. For internal cleaning, a 5/16" drill bit and/or rotary tool can be employed. The key features a captive handle for convenient use. To assemble the key with the hose clamp nut, line up the hex sides and push the captive key into place. It may require some effort to do this, so tap it gently before initial use. Some clamp ends tend to stick out and may cause the key to be dislodged. Reforming the end into a tighter circle may resolve this issue. To secure the key in place, Crazy Glue can be applied. However, the nut shape and other variables may require adjustments for optimal fitment. The user must work with these factors to meet their specific needs. Printed individually without issues on 2/16/2017 using PLA material. The print settings included a 0.1 mm gap between the hot end at 250 degrees and a cold table, along with a shot of HD hair spray, two skirt loops, 30% infill, 0.2mm layers, 0.3 mm shell, and a speed rate of 80% for the first 14.0mm and 40% for the balance of the print.
