I needed this hose clamp for a project and it's specifically designed to clamp the outside of the hose without compressing its internal diameter. The clamp works well on silicone hoses, which can be tricky because they're extremely soft. This particular clamp is intended for use with 8mm inner diameter and 10mm outer diameter silicone hoses.
