Adapting a Shop-Vac 9051200 8', 1-1/4" hose to a Eureka 4235 upright vacuum allows you to utilize all Eureka attachments originally included, as well as Shop-Vac 1.25" attachments and extensions. The Shop-Vac hose is longer, lighter, and easier to maneuver than the original Eureka hose/telescoping wand assembly, which has been discontinued. The first adapter model is optional and twists onto the upper hose connection (to canister). You might need to lightly sand the outside surface to make it easier to insert the larger-diameter inlet end of the Shop-Vac hose. Otherwise, you can remove the Shop-Vac inlet from the hose and insert the hose directly into the Eureka upper elbow. The second adapter model is press-fit into the lower nozzle connection (to power head) and stays with the vacuum when the nozzle is removed. The third adapter model is press-fit into the Eureka Power Paw attachment and stays with this attachment when the nozzle is removed. No adapters are needed for the Eureka brush and crevice attachments.
