The British Museum's stunning granodiorite statue of Horus-falcon is now complete, its beak and one eye meticulously restored to their former glory. The other eye, however, has been given a unique touch, featuring an intricate inlay made from ivory and bitumen. Check out the incredible image online: http://www.britishmuseum.org/research/collection_online/collection_object_details.aspx?partId=1&objectId=111557 Jennifer Wexler masterfully crafted this photo from 137 individual shots taken with a OnePlus3 smartphone and Nikon D5100 camera, courtesy of danielpett. We're already planning to revisit the statue and capture a fresh shot of its head when we next visit the Egyptian store room.
