Horse & Rider 3-layered-animal cnc/laser

My oldest son is absolutely fascinated with horses. He kept begging me for another horse that could carry a rider as a companion for the growing horse. When building to scale, it's essential to reference the width by the length of an inch. This build was completed on a compact CNC machine by Stepcraft from 4 mm birch plywood using a spiral-toothed 2.5 mm flute. After cutting it needed some light sanding and simple gluing together. The screws are for effortless alignment only. Next time I'll make sure to keep the outer parts spotless. A laser engraver might be an excellent alternative tool to create (even) larger versions.
