Horse Racing Game

<p>This is the first project I started after assembling my first 3D printer. It may have been a little too ambitious at the time and is why it ended up on the proverbial shelf. Well, I've retrieved it from the shelf, dusted it off, redesigned it using Fusion 360 and finally submitted it to print.</p> <p>My skills at sculpting are seriously lacking. Without the head of <a href="/dot-kit">dot-kit</a>'s <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:177612">Horse Sculpture</a> I don't even want to imagine what the horses would look like in this game. I modified the horse sculpture by using only the head and placing a hole in the neck to mount to the playing piece post. For a rambunctious game you may need tape to hold the four boards together. * The horse relief can be printed in a different color by pausing the print and changing the filament. <p>Horse Heads</p> <ul> <li>Will need 11 heads</li> <li>Will need support to the build plate.</li> </ul> <p>Placards</p> <ul> <li>The stl contains all the placards needed.</li> <li>To print in different colors the print will need to be paused to change the filament.</li> </ul> <p>Posts</p> <ul> <li>Each post is a pair made up of a long and short post.</li> <li>Will need 11 posts</li> <li>I printed with support but may print okay without it.</li> </ul> <p>Dice</p> <ul> <li>Print with at least a 50% fill to add some weight.</li> <li>I painted the pips by daubing a small drop of paint into each pip with a toothpick.</li> </ul> <h3>Assembly</h3> <p>Assemble the playing pieces:</p> <ol> <li>Glue the longer post into the bottom of the placard.</li> <li>Glue the shorter post into the top of the placard.</li> <li>Align the horse head and glue to the top of the shorter post.</li> <li>Repeat 10 more times.</li> </ol> <h3>Set up the game</h3> <ol> <li>Read the rules. (PDF included with files)</li> <li>Obtain a deck of playing cards.</li> <li>To track scoring you will need chips, or coins, or whatever is decided to be used to pay into the purse.</li> <li>Place the horses at the Starting Gate.</li> <li>Gather your friends.
