A majestic cast of Selene's horse rises high on a pedestal at the Carnegie Museum of Art, its intricate details still radiating the elegance of ancient Greece. Crafted by the renowned sculptor Phidias and the brilliant architects Iktinos and Kallikrates between 438-432 BCE, this masterpiece was originally part of the Parthenon's majestic façade on the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. Today, its counterparts proudly occupy a prominent place in the British Museum, London.
