The horse (Equus ferus caballus) is a domesticated perissodactyl mammal of the Equidae family. It's a large, herbivorous ungulate with a long, arched neck and flowing mane. The female horse is called a mare and her offspring are called colts if male or fillies if female. Horse breeding and use by humans is known as equine husbandry, which dates back around 3600 BC in the region of Kazakhstan.
