Horse Back Mapper

prusaprinters

Horse backs have to be properly mapped to make sure the saddle fits correctly.  Saddles should never touch the spine or withers. Several centimeters clearance is necessary to accommodate the shoulder rotation upwards and backwards during movement. A horse whose saddle pinches will be painful for the horse and can cause damage. 3 Sizes of the tool are provided7 CM Pony10CM 15 to 18 hands15 CM Full horse to larger than fullAssemble using M4 20MM bolts, nuts and washers (allen head is the best for tightening and fitting)Assemble enough sections for the map to extend beyond the saddle length and height (I found it best to go past the horse kidneys).Once the mapper is on the horses back tighten the spine section first then work your way around the horse tightening from top to bottom ensuring the horse is comfortable.  Once completed lead the horse around making turns both left and right raising and lowering the horses head (snacks work best).  The mapper should remain in place if all sections are tightened correctly. One of the pictures included shows the Saddle Support Area.  Most of the saddle presure should rest in the box area and not apply presure to the read areas.
