Horozontal Roller Filament Guide
thingiverse
I recently relocated my spool from its original perch atop the machine to a new spot on the side. This strategic move enables the filament to flow directly off the spool and into the extruder, streamlining the entire printing process. To accommodate this alteration, I was forced to reassess and revise the filament guide system. The result is a 2-roller setup, with a sturdy metal bearing roller positioned at the bottom and a custom-printed PETG roller situated on top. Although the upper (plastic) roller rarely sees action, it's reassuring to know that I can swap in a metal guide roller if needed, utilizing the stock Ender 3 part as a reliable backup option.
