Horizontal Universal Spool Holder

Horizontal Universal Spool Holder

This is a horizontal spool holder designed to utilize 608 ball bearings and imperial hardware. I crafted this holder with a feature that allows swapping out a pin threaded into the center of the rotor based on the spool used. Pins for Inland and Prusa PLA are included, but modifying pins for other manufacturers should be straightforward. The pin and rotor employ an M10x1.5 thread if making your own pin is necessary. The ball bearings are secured using 10-24x3/4" bolts and 10-24 nuts. Bushings reduce the ID of the bearings to a close-clearance hole for the bolts. You will require: * 10-24x3/4" bolts x3 * 10-24 nuts * bushings x3 * rotor x1 * base x1 * as many pins as you anticipate needing Supports are necessary for the base but should not be used for the pins or the rotor since this makes cleaning the threads very challenging.
