Horizontal Sewing Machine Thread Holder This Horizontal Thread Holder converts vertical holders to horizontal, reducing tension. Designed for delicate sewing, some spools are optimized for this use. Using these spools vertically adds tension with each machine pull, causing delicate fabrics to buckle or pucker. This converter works for spools under 30mm in thickness. Print Settings Printer: M3D Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 200 Infill: 20% Notes: Rotate the model as shown for print without supports. I'm considering replacing the printed thread holder rod with a sturdier thread rod. As built, it functions well, but there's a risk of breakage (6mm is relatively thin). The rod should also be raised several mm to support larger thread spools.
